Tra il 1920 e il 1930 Le Corbusier e suo cugino Pierre Jeanneret costruirono una serie di ville e case unifamiliari - molte a Parigi e dintorni - che ebbero un ruolo importante nell'affermare e consolidare la loro reputazione di professionisti.
